"...she can belt out melodies with the best of them. Her voice has the soul of Janis Joplin’s, the viciousness of Courtney Love‘s, and the strength of Whitney Houston’s... one of the most impressive I’ve ever reviewed." [more] |

| With a voice not too far from Sheryl Crow and the energy of Alanis, NANYANA is quickly becoming an ATL favorite. [more] |

"Who's To Blame" -- a lovely and very soulful post-break-up ballad with some nice atmosphere -- is my favorite. The mellow jazz sax bridge is truly haunting and drummer Todd Damien creates an amazing sense of space. This is a song I wanted to hear over and over again" ... [ Gail Worley ] |

Six White Horses: "this is rock-n-roll...full of the angst and fury that propelled bands to the top of the heap" Something About You: "contains brilliantly executed vocals and an incredibly well placed guitar solo" "NanyaNa instantaneously brings to mind the power of Mother’s Finest. . . that brought to bear the finesse of pop, the power of rock-n-blues and the drive of funk..." "the best thing I have heard from the south in a long time." Bottom Line..."this is about as radio ready a batch of songs as I've heard online in quite some time" [ CHRIS K. ] |

"Six White Horses" with a gutsy guitar riff underpinning the keening vocal of their girl lead singer. Or what about the turbulent jazz funk rock mix of "Change Of Seasons". Lots of diverse music influences withoutclosely resembling anyone, this could possibly be described as alt pop with progressive rock and jazz overtones, but even that doesn't do it. An American band who richly deserves to be heard beyond their home state. [ Tony Cummings ] |
