  NANYANA
--     Biography     --
NANYANA, from Atlanta, Georgia, and just completing their new CD "NANYANA", was formed in June of 2000. Playing steady for the past 2 years, the oft-heard buzz phrase used to describe them is: "The best kept secret in town." Equal parts Rock, Jazz, Funk, and Blues NANYANA will treat you to straight-up, hard-rockin, jazzy funk. Their music has a distinctly infectious riff, trippin' female vocals, phat lyrics and a haunting melody for every preference.

As original as they are diverse "...commands your attention...intense, emotive, hypnotic vocal performances…a multi-textured, musical canvas…pure emotion and clever lyrics...creative and musical potency…" is a quote describing their uniquely defined sound. With help from their friend Speech of "Arrested Development", "Thousand Miles" was tracked and recorded at his Podium Studios. Recently NANYANA completed their Debut CD at Glow In the Dark Studios with Matt Goldman serving up a unique flavor all their own showing maturity, diversity, adaptation and an overflow of creativity in the studio.

NANYANA, which is the lead singer's name, meaning, "face like a flower" in her native Thai, has broadbase appeal and has performed in all types of venues. At home in clubs as well as concert halls, NANYANA's indefinable style is appropriate in any venue.

Their polished stage presence, consistent crowd draw, and mature musical performance continues to build as NANYANA's resourceful and versatile sound steps into the future.

    Lyrics
Mysterious melodies with soulful personal verses mark NANYANA's heartfelt lyrics.

Each of the band members has written or contributed to songs that refuse to be cliché in a music scene that is overwhelmed with band-wagon copycats.
    Professionalism
Seamless transitions, international flavor, exemplary attitudes and an eagerness to perform beyond the normal measure, mark NANYANA as a band with a sound that is totally their own.

No venue is too small or too large for a performance that, without a doubt, is "rock the house" memorable.
